Q.3 The sun rises two hours earlier in Arunachal Pradesh as compared to Gujarat in the west but the watches show the same time. How does this happen?
Solution:- Even though Gujarat is in the west and Arunachal Pradesh is in the east, there is almost a two-hour difference in their local time because the Sun rises earlier in the east. But still, people in both places see the same time on their watches. This is because India uses one common time for the whole country. This common time is based on the Standard Meridian of India (82°30’E), which passes through Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh. Since the same standard time is followed everywhere, the clocks in Arunachal Pradesh, Gujarat, and all other parts of India show the same time. Check whether it is plagrasim free or not
Q.4 The central location of India at the head of the Indian Ocean is considered of great significance. Why?
